Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

36 has one mission: to create great work that does spectacular things for incredible people. To do that, we look for top-tier talent, empower them to do their best work, and light up their career with wins. We want that talent (and the talented clients we serve) to feel included, valued, and celebrated for who they are when they work with 36.

Everyone can sit with us.

Building a team that consistently produces stellar work requires each member to arrive with their full, authentic self. Authenticity is one of our core values and it’s not just important to our culture—it’s essential.

Badass results are the product of people with unique perspectives working together without fear of being who they really are.

Every person has something phenomenal to contribute by simply being themselves. We commit to fostering and safeguarding a work environment where everyone feels safe and welcome to do exactly that.

Everyone is valued here.

At 36, the foundation of our culture is respect. We promise every team member that they will be treated without discrimination and will be a part of our community.

We do not remain neutral on human rights issues. We are officially against hatred of all kinds, all hate groups, and any words, thinking, or behavior that harms, threatens, dehumanizes, or encourages violence towards anyone.

We provide equal opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, veteran status, or status in recovery.

36 is a Recovery Friendly Workplace. We believe in the importance of a solution-focused approach to addressing addiction and behavioral health. Recovery from substance abuse disorder is a strength and we commit to contributing to positive change by eliminating barriers for those impacted by addiction.

Everyone can grow with us.

We commit to lead with empathy and make sure everyone at 36 can contribute to an equitable, aware, and intentional culture. Every member of 36 is encouraged to step out of their comfort zone, speak up, and amplify voices that have been systemically stifled. We are always looking to do better.

True inclusion takes effort. This means being there for our team, hearing their stories, and learning from them. By doing this, we can understand one another more deeply, and stand up for one another more effectively.

Everyone can enjoy our work.

Our commitment to inclusivity also means being dedicated to ADA Compliance to make sure all our interactive products meet or exceed WCAG 2 Level AA standards. We know that people with disabilities face challenges, and we believe in making the digital world easier for them to use.

We prioritize teaching our clients why inclusion is important across strategy, content, user experience, website design, and development. Our team undergoes regular training to always learn the latest and best ways to make our work accessible. We’ve also partnered with leading organizations in the field to keep improving what we offer.

We welcome feedback from our users to continuously improve our work and agency.

As we move forward, we remain committed to creating a digital landscape that’s built for everyone. That means helping to remove barriers between the internet and people with physical, cognitive, or situational disabilities, older individuals, those in rural areas, and individuals with socio-economic restrictions.
